Jake Sherwin

Jake Sherwin’s life-long dream of playing golf in college was fulfilled Thursday when the Cape Coral resident committed to Florida Gulf Coast University.

Sherwin, a 2012 graduate of Evan-gelical Christ-ian School, knew he made the right decision which will impact not only his next four years, but his next 40 years.

Sherwin and his family chose to join NCSA Athletic Recruiting for a proactive approach focused on utilizing technology and building relationships that led him to FGCU.

Maintaining a 3.65 GPA and being a four-year varsity starter did not slow down Sherwin as he strived to be a leader in sports and in the community.

Thousands of high school athletes end their prep careers without a commitment, but Sherwin decided the NCSA recruiting process would allow him the benefits of playing collegiate sports.
