Camp week for youth football
Two youth football camps are coming up over the next seven days – one conducted by the Florida Stingrays on Saturday and the other conducted at North Fort Myers High School coach Barry Goettemoeller next Thursday.
The Florida Stingrays camp is free to all kids, ages 6-18, and runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday at the Storms Football Complex on Chiquita Boulevard. Refreshments also are provided to all youth free of charge.
The Big Red Football Camp next Thursday at North High runs 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and is open to players entering 2nd through 9th grades. The camp costs $40 per camper and offers a certified athletic trainer on the field along with instruction by high school and college coaches.
Campers will undergo combine-style testing in addition to speed and strength training, and drills for all positions.
