Mathieu Roy became the sixth returning player from last season’s squad and the ninth overall to sign with the Florida Everblades, the team announced Tuesday.

In his second professional season, the 6-foot, 200-pound forward set personal highs in goals scored (22), points (46) and penalty minutes (119) in just 69 games last season for the Blades. He also appeared in nine Kelly Cup playoff games, adding two goals and three assists.

Roy received two promotions to the American Hockey League appearing in one game with Rochester and Albany respectively.
