Chris Trout and Connor Arendell, both from Cape Coral, finished in the top 20 at the Florida Open, which concluded Sunday at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach. Trout finished in a tie for 15th after firing a 5-under-par 67 in the final round. He carded a three-round total of 1-under 215. Arendell, a Mariner High graduate, finished in a tie for 20th. Competing as an amateur, Arendell shot a 70 in the final round and finished with 216.

Thomas Murray, an amateur from Orange Park, won the event with a 206.
