After splitting a pair of games Friday, the Bulldogs fell 2-0 to Hollywood McArthur and 3-0 to Westminster Christian Saturday.

The Bulldogs began play Friday with a 2-1 loss against Plantation American Heritage, the top-ranked team in Class 3A. The Bulldogs led 1-0 before allowing two runs in the seventh. It was one of three close losses to go along with a 15-4 win over Miami Varela Friday.

In the opening game Saturday, McArthur was led by pitcher Brenda Emerson and FGCU recruit, catcher Morgan Walters. Emerson struck out eight Bulldogs.

Baker senior Kayla Vetter struck out five and allowed one earned run. Sophomore Katie Rieser had both Bulldog hits.

Rieser, Vetter, Jamie Ross and Shanelly Brown accounted for the four hits in the second game against Westminster Christian.

On Friday, the Bulldogs smacked five home runs. Senior Caitlin Holloway and freshman Louie Ross had two, and Rieser added one.
