Prep Report: Lightning roll over Bulldogs 77-49
The Ida Baker Bulldogs connected on only 20-of-55 (36 percent) field goals and lost 77-49 to the Lehigh Lightning Thursday night in an LCAC crossover game that relegated the Bulldogs to fourth place in the conference.
Sherod Morse tallied 21 points, leading four players in double figures for Lehigh (19-5).
John Skinner scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs (16-9). Zach Campbell had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bulldogs host North Fort Myers Wednesday in the District 5A-15 Tournament.

Cape Coral 65, South Fort Myers 53: Cape Coral overcame a stumbling start to pull away in the second half to beat South Fort Myers and secure fifth place in the LCAC.
All of the Seahawks who played scored, led by senior Yoko Roldan with 14 points. Joel Hill and Josh Monteagudo added 12 points apiece.
The Seahawks trailed 15-5 before finding the range and outscoring the Wolfpack 34-19 in the second half to seal the victory.
Cape (17-7) plays at Barron Collier Wednesday in the District 5A-15 quarterfinal round.

Mariner 63, Riverdale 56: Host Mariner ground out an overtime win, defeating Riverdale for the second time in three days.
Kameron Beach led the Tritons (12-13) with 15 points. Ricardo Barsesa had 13 and Juan Rivera added 12.
Riverdale’s Mike Johnson nailed a three-pointer to send the game to overtime.
Mariner hosts East Lee County Tuesday in the District 5A-15 Tournament.

Bishop Verot 1, Tampa Catholic 0: Lucas Polk made two brilliant saves and Nathan Weisberg scored the game-winning goal in penalty kicks, lifting the host Vikings past Tampa Catholic in a Region 3A-3 quarterfinals game.
The Vikings (17-4-2) had numerous scoring chanced, but were unable to find the net in regulation. They won 4-3 in penalty kicks.
The Vikings host Tampa Berkeley Prep, the top-ranked team in the state, Tuesday in regional semifinal.
Northeast 2, Mariner 1: Christian Marin gave Mariner a 1-0 lead with about 10 minutes remaining in the first half, but it wouldn’t hold up in a Region 5A-4 quarterfinals loss to Oakland Park Northeast.
Oakland Park scored a pair of goals in a seven-minute span midway through the second half to take the lead.
“They had two corner kicks that we failed to clear,” Mariner coach Martin Cardenas said. “They created a clutter around the box and put two in.”
Julio Perez assisted the goal by Marin. Tyler Korytkowski also created some chances as the Tritons tried to tack on one more before the break.
Renato Proia made a couple saves in one-on-one situations for the Tritons and John DiRoma had a solid game on defense.
The Tritons (14-10-4) were competing in the regionals for the third straight season and 10th time in the last 14 years.
