Everblades schedule revised

By Staff | Dec 12, 2008

When the Augusta Lynx shut down operation last week, the ECHL was forced to revise the remainder of its regular season schedule, including eight games the Lynx had left against the Florida Everblades.

That revised schedule was released Thursday.

The Blades had two home dates remaining with the Lynx on March 27 and 28. The March 27 game was moved to April 1, when they will face the Gwinnett Gladiators. The Charlotte Checkers are the new opponent on March 28. All other home games remain the same.

The remaining changes affect the Blades’ road schedule. The adjustment reduced the Blades’ slate to 35 in order to play 71 games.

The Blades return to action Friday night against the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena.

Meanwhile, forward Patrick Bordeleau signed an Everblades contract Thursday to take the place of defenseman Ryan McGinnis, who was recalled to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Bordeleau, 22, began the season with Augusta. He had 10 points (4g, 6a) in 18 games with the Lynx. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound winger skated in three games with the Albany River Rats after the Lynx folded.

McGinnis is the seventh Everblades player currently skating in the AHL – joining Ross Carlson, Jonathan Paiement, David Leggio, Jacob Micflikier, Riley Emmerson and Harrison Reed.
