The Florida Everblades released their schedule Wednesday for preseason training camp.

The Blades open camp on Oct. 6 and running through Oct. 16, one day before the 2008-09 regular season opens.

Most days during training camp will feature two on-ice practices and off-ice workout sessions. The schedule includes two pre-season games against the Phoenix Road Runners on Oct. 10 and 11, dropping the puck at 7:30 p.m. each night at Germain Arena.

All Practices will take place on the main rink inside Germain Arena, but practices may move to recreation rinks without prior notice.

A media-only “light skate” session kicks off training camp at 4 p.m. on Oct. 5.

Most practice sessions from Oct. 6 to 9 run 9:30-11 a.m. with a scrimmage or second practice from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

After the two exhibition games, practices resume 10-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 13-16.

The Everblades make their 2008-09 season debut Oct. 17 at Germain Arena against the Charlotte Checkers.
