Miracle gets 3-2 win in road finale

Garrett Olson’s infield single helped the Fort Myers Miracle break a 1-1 tie and defeated the Clearwater Threshers 3-2 Monday. It was the Miracle’s final road game of the season.
Olson went 3-for-4 to lead the attack.
As Clearwater has done all series long, they struck first with a run in the bottom of the second. Tuffy Gosewich doubled with one out. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Quintin Berry.
The Miracle offense struck with the tying run in the fifth and added two more in the seventh. Edward Ovalle and Johnny Woodard had doubles.
The Miracle, who will play Dunedin in the Florida State League playoffs, return to Hammond Stadium Tuesday. They host Lakeland at 7:05 p.m.
