Fort Myers made the mistakes and host Ida Baker capitalized with eight runs in the first inning.

That set the tone for the Bulldogs’ 15-12 win over the Green Wave in a high school baseball game Saturday.

The Green Wave (15-3) were coming off a 16-1 win over Mariner Friday, but had a disastrous first inning, defensively, which included two walks, one hit batter and several fielding miscues. The Bulldogs also had five hits in the inning.

Dustin Mishka connected on a solo home run in the fourth to help the Bulldogs extend the lead.

Cody Coffman went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Alex Lakes finished 2-for-3 and drove in two runs.

The Bulldogs (11-8) host Cypress Lake Tuesday on Senior Night.
