Minneapolis Southwest struck for four runs in the second inning en route to a 6-0 victory Tuesday night over Cape Coral High, which was limited to four base hits.

Colin Metz started on the mound for the Seahawks and was tagged with the loss.

Cape plays at Cypress Lake Wednesday.

Charlotte 8, Bishop Verot 2: Charlotte used two multi-run rallies to put away Bishop Verot in the Sarasota Classic.

Kevin Reynolds collected three hits for the Vikings while Josh Hinkle and Bobby Borchering added a pair of hits. Borchering belted a solo home run in the first inning.

Verot (7-10) continues tournament play Wednesday.
