More unnecessary spending
To the editor:
Is our city manager looking at ways to increase taxes again because they can’t stop spending and wasting money?
Our city manager, who is spending money on landscaping Hancock Bridge Parkway, taking out trees and planting new plants when people are out of work and can’t afford food, has no idea what it means to go without a meal because he and the mayor get to eat every day.
Look at the money they wasted on LCEC to get a contract, and the mayor’s trip to China — he gets a free vacation and tells us he going to get jobs from China for Cape Coral. He must think the people in this city are as stupid as he is and as is his city manager who, since he was hired, has done only one thing — raise taxes and fees.
Hope this next election we can find people who can run this city on a budget, and cut the taxes. This city wasted more money, spending it on propaganda in this newsletter that they send out telling us how good things are in this city when they have no idea what they are doing .
Let’s hope the people wake up in this city and get people who can stop spending and cut our taxes so we can afford to live here.
