To the editor:

Two years of venom, vitriol, looking backward, and casting aspersions on the character of those employed by the city has done little to improve the already deteriorating conditions in Cape Coral. With vacant homes marring a once beautiful suburban city, crime on the rise, and a local economy spurting and spattering more violently than the national landscape, I would have thought those we elected two years ago would have “had enough,” and stepped up to the plate. They have not.

The time is now to make a positive change in Cape Coral City government. John Carioscia is a man of vision, action, and integrity. His history of public service combined with his intimate knowledge of how city government operates makes him the obvious choice. His simple, positive plan to restart the UEP, re-invigorate the EDO, and create a true business-friendly city is exactly what Cape Coral needs to come out of the morass of the past two years. John’s vision is a clear path forward and that is what we need…not a Road Ahead.
