To the editor:

My wife and I have had the good fortune to live in Cape Coral for several years now and we truly love all that it has to offer. The one negative has been the way that our current city politicians continue to ignore the mandate of our citizens. We have come to feel that our input is of no consequence. That was until this past week, when we were greeted by one of the city council candidates, Rana Erbrick.

She had come to our door and truly seemed interested in what we felt was important and stressed that we just get out and vote, even if we did not decide to vote for her. She seemed to be very knowledgeable of the future needs and current struggles of our city and more interested in showing respect for our citizens. We were very impressed with her attitude and know that if we do not vote in the upcoming election – shame on us.
