Congress can’t pass meaningful health reform
To the editor:
Question: Can Congress create a bill to reform health care without provisions for tort reform?
Answer: No.
Question: Why not?
Answer: Because the majority of both houses of Congress are controlled by members of the Democrat Party and the Democrat Party is owned, lock stock and barrel, by the trial lawyers of America.
Question: Who was the last viable Democrat who sought the presidency that was not a lawyer?
Answer: Jimmy Carter.
Question: Is this a problem?
Answer: I believe it is.
Solution: We need an Article V Convention where the crown jewel is the adoption of a constitutional amendment mandating term limits, among other vital changes to update our constitution consistent with the intent of our Founding Fathers.
