We’re angry, we feel unsafe
To the editor:
Disingenuous politicians are telling us that the methods of interrogation used during the years following 911 are not going to be utilized again because the American people have been surveyed and they say it’s wrong.
My question is “who are they?” And, how many of those surveyed are family or friends of the poor souls who were slaughtered during the attack by insane terrorists?
The problem here is that those living on public funds have become absolutely worthless. They believe that political posturing should be the foundation for all decisions and citizen safety is of little consequence. When things go wrong they point fingers at the opposing party, they save the middle finger for the trusting public, and then insist they’ve done their job.
Following the 9/11 disaster, and for seven and a half years, President Bush and his administration kept America safe and proved himself true to his oath. When President Bush left office he left a clear blueprint, a “safety methodology”that should have been followed to the letter. His had been tried and was proven to be an “American first” success plan. This administration with pomposity and arrogance leading the charge has decided that the Bush administration should be defamed and the successful “American safe” program should be scrapped.
It’s politics at its worst and it has created a dangerous environment for all of us. We need to tell this administration that we’re holding them 100 percent responsive should American get hit again.
Politics in the 21st Century sure does stink.
