Performance was wonderful

To the editor:

Lee County Community Band under the direction of Conductor Richard Bradstreet presented an outstanding USO presentation “A Tribute To Veterans,” Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Cape Coral High School Auditorium with a special appearance by General James Dozier. The Cape Coral High School ROTC Color Guard opened the presentation, magnificently.

Many in the audience served in the Armed Forces. The audience demonstrated their deep appreciation for their service with thunderous applause and you could sense the military men and women were extremely proud of their service to our great country.

It was a nostalgic afternoon. Delightful were the Almost Andrew Sisters, Jim Walker Quintet, Bill Musgrove, the Fred Astaire and Marantha Dancers. Let’s not forget the beautiful voice of Norman Joyce and his amusing storytelling. A salute to the Lee County Community Band and their musical renditions of the “oldies but goodies.” It was GREAT! Thanks for the memories.
