It makes sense to wait and see on UEP
To the editor:
After reading the letters by Lynn Rosko, John Sullivan, and Gary King, which appeared in the Feb. 7, 2009 issue of the Cape Coral Daily Breeze, along with the Breeze’s editorial “Get Involved” I am moved to take the position of the above mentioned letter writers in opposition to the continuation of the water and sewage project in the northern end of our city until we see the outcome of just what is to take place concerning the stimulus plans going on in Washington at the present time.
Both Mayor Burch and Councilman Deile have stirred the pot in this regard, and we would do well to wait and see just what is the outcome of their efforts before we put the cart in front of the horse.
This whole business concerning this issue is one hell of a mess and we should tread most lightly before jumping into a much larger financial problem than we are already in, to say nothing of the poor souls who have lost or are in the process of losing their homes.
Write more? I undoubtedly could, but, I’ll leave that up to Rosko, Sullivan and King, they handle that end pretty well.
