To the editor:

A tip of the hat is decidedly in order to State Sen. Mike Bennett for his proposal to have the building of all new sports stadiums put on the ballot concerning the public funding of all such entities.

It’s about time our elected legislators wised up to the fact that the “people’s treasuries” are not there to fund the expensive structure for multi-millionaire organizations.

If these turkeys want to build anything, let them use their own monies, otherwise, take a walk and look elsewhere for their suckers, “the people have been taken suckers for much too long,” along with all the thieves we have involved within our various governments.

It’s time all this nonsense was stopped. Maybe with the advent of Obama things will change – hope, a hope a hope – but “don’t hold your breath.”
