I want the people of Southwest Florida to know how Fort Myers Toyota emphasizes customer service. It was 5:45 pm. last Friday and I had just gotten gas for my 2005 Sienna on Viscaya Parkway in Cape Coral. When I tried starting the van, the ignition key would not turn. I tried turning the steering wheel while attempting to turn the ignition key to no avail. The ignition was locked.
I knew the Fort Myers Toyota Service office would be closing in a few minutes so I took a chance and called them. Albert Sammelian advised me of some techniques to unlock the ignition but none worked. Albert then came to the gas station to see if he could get it started. I couldn’t believe it. He lived in Cape Coral, but the gas station was not on his way home.
Soon after, Miguel Del Valle, another Toyota service technician, arrived at the gas station to help. They tried all kinds of things but it took getting behind the dashboard to fix the problem,.
Both of these men were off duty but they cared enough about a customer to drive out of their way to help. They certainly redefined “customer service.” I will never ever forget what they did.
