Golden parachutes for mismanagement an outrage
To the editor:
Golden parachutes for incompetence, ineffectiveness, and failure reflects a sick and unfair treatment of the American public. Rewarding top management for gross mismanagement, and treating “slime ball” type activities as if they were badges of honor, an incredibly unfair philosophy.
While families are destroyed, dreams are shattered, and poverty reigns, pinhead company executives are allowed to not only escape without the appropriate punishment they’re rewarded for conducting themselves immorally and quite possibly illegally. All a sad and sick commentary on 21st century ethics, politics, and economics. This, I believe, is a job for “Homeland Security.”
For the sake of a few, millions of Americans are being adversely affected and our entire economic system has been placed in jeopardy, a practice which is inherently un-American. Company directors who choose to act irresponsibly, for the sake of incapable executives while forsaking the well being of unsuspecting others, should be arrested. What they’re doing is stealing from the the hardworking well-intentioned mass so that the non-working slippery few can be wrongly compensated. It’s got to stop, immediately!
