Palin can get the job done
To the editor:
I note that a few letters to The Breeze editor have stated that Gov. Sarah Palin does not have the experience to be vice president. This is an interesting comment when in reality, she has more administrative time experience than Barack Obama, the candidate for president. He started running for president after just two years in the senate. He is very articulate and sounds good whenever talking around a subject rather than addressing it.
In our real world, if we were an employer needing to hire a C.E.O., we would certainly require a resume of proven job experience. If his only qualification was that he looked good and talked well might qualify him as a management trainee but not the top job where he could severely damage the company through trial and error. Barack has picked up a lot of polish in his two years of debating; but debating to be president or being on a college debating team, doesn’t give you background experience for the position.
Sarah Palin has only been a candidate for a couple of months and has clearly stated her background experience plus showing true intellect, knowledge and ability. Haven’t we all, at one time or another, said that we are tired of professional politicians, and that we need an everyday American running for office? Here we have one, a working mother, with a family together with background to do the job.
She has promised to clean up Washington; and I believe that John McCain will have a hard time holding her back in this endeavor.
