Leave Social Security alone
To the editor:
Privatization of Social Security is not for me and is not for many of my neighbors. When we think of the future of our children it makes the hair on my neck stand on end.
The majority of Americans depend on Social Security to live on from day to day. We do not get paid for the rest of our lives like the legislators do and do not have health insurance for the rest of our lives like the legislators do.
Many lost pensions that they were depending on because they were being handled by the private sector. Change is great. Let’s have the legislators receive the same retirement benefits that the majority of Americans depend on and perhaps that would make them stop and think what they are doing to their constituents.
