Political leaders should all be wealthy, out of touch
To the editor:
I am seriously beginning to doubt my original opinion of Barack Obama. He really is an elitist. Imagine the audacity of a political candidate with the insolence to own merely one inexpensive Ford vehicle and only one house. I find this shameless. Furthermore, I find it both disgusting and disgraceful.
Our political leaders should all be extremely wealthy and out of touch with the middle class as well as most people in the world. Barack should immediately run out and either purchase, or obtain from the 24,000 registered lobbyists in D.C., 13 automobiles, minimum, and seven more houses, at least.
How dare he have the temerity to present himself as one of the traditional modern politicians lacking wealth and the wisdom normally associated with wealth and power. We both require and deserve another wealthy fraud in the “White Wash” House! We should demand one! Unless we receive such leaders, how will the upper class continue to suppress the standard of living of the majority of our citizens in this country trying, in vain, to achieve the “American Dream?”
We must either contain the elitist upstart or else convert him to the conduct of the repugnant, rapacious Republicans. His behavior is intolerable.
Alfred E. Neuman for president!
