Gary Lee, the Republican committee chairman for Lee County, should either resign or be fired immediately. Marilyn Stout won her primary race for state committee woman by a 73 percent plurality and Mr. Lee has the nerve to suggest that she should not be seated, because of some bogus technicality.

This has got to be the ultimate in pomposity, arrogance and absolute stupidity! Mr. Lee clearly doesn’t understand the democratic process, by suggesting that his will should override the will of the people, and he has insulted every Republican voter who went to the polls and voted for Mrs. Stout.

It would be a good idea for Mr. Lee to calm down, apologize to Mrs. Stout and ask the Lee County Republicans for forgiveness.
