To the editor:

As the dust has settled and I am finally able to catch my breath, I would like to extend my genuine appreciation for voters’ support in the recent primary election for Lee County Commission District 3.

Over the years I have held true to my core belief of providing a balance between management of growth and providing responsible stewardship of our precious natural resources.

It is critical that our Board of County Commissioners remains focused on stimulating economic recovery to provide jobs for our hard working families and to diversify our economic base such as the recent approval of the Madden Group’s Biotech Research and Development Business Park.

With your support in the general election on Nov. 4, I will continue to provide the balanced, independent and honest leadership we need for our county to experience sustainable economic growth and a safe and healthy environment.
