Promises aplenty, but will they be kept?
To the editor:
Well, we can all appreciate a good fight, and the candidates are trying to give us one (in spite of the negative ads). We all then wonder how much of their promises they will be able to deliver on.
No, they will be unlikely to make good on even a majority. That’s because of powerful lobbyists and intransigent, partisan blocs in Congress, that block needed and helpful legislation.
And with issues laid to rest, that leaves us, dear voters, with only one question; is his heart at least in the right place?
As the bottom line, it is all we have to go on to elevate the next figurehead of the nation!
