The American flag is the symbol of our country
To the editor:
Nothing seems to matter when it comes to Sen. Obama. It doesn’t matter when the Rev. Wright is discussed; the fact that for 20 years the senator from Illinois listened to drivel about Americans and especially about America.
It doesn’t matter that the senator’s wife said “in my whole life I’ve never been proud of the United States.” It doesn’t matter that the senator has no track record, no experience, and no accomplishments.
And, it doesn’t matter that this man who wants to be president of the United States refuses to were a flag lapel pin. The American flag.
The symbol of peace, democracy, goodness and greatness.
The flag that reflects the sacrifices that millions have made in order to serve democracy, here and around the world. America certainly is not perfect. But unquestionably, it is the greatest nation the world has ever seen. Wearing the flag is a sign of respect and appreciation, it separates the “insiders from the outsiders” and should be worn with pride.
Anything less is unacceptable!
