April 21 was a lucky day for me. Dr. Mel Youngs saved my life! On Saturday, April 19, I had fallen, and all day Saturday and Sunday I was feeling hurt all over. On Monday morning I decided to go to Dr. Youngs, a Cape Coral chiropractor, because of increasing pains in my neck. I randomly called Dr. Youngs at 7 a.m. and after I described my fall and my pain, she asked that I come in immediately. They took X-rays and immobilized my neck. I was a stranger to the office, yet the doctor, who I believe realized the seriousness of my injury, set aside her schedule and treated me as if I was an old friend. I will never forget this doctor’s compassion, professional ethics, and infinite expertise.

At Cape Coral Hospital I was diagnosed with a broken neck, two vertebras had been fractured, including the infamous C-1. I am now recovering from the delicate and dangerous surgery and hoping that in a few months I’ll feel good again.

The surgeon, Dr. Faunce, was magnificent and the support from my wife, my church and my friends have all contributed to what will hopefully be a full recovery. However, Dr. Mel Youngs started it all. I’m forever grateful and Cape Coral is fortunate to have a doctor of this outstanding caliber!
