Kids need direction
To the editor:
I’m in favor of hanging the Ten Commandments in every schoolroom in the nation, so young people can know the difference between right and wrong. Children don’t know the difference and we’re seeing the evidence of that all around us every day.
There are those that say “we cannot insert religion into the school system.” Of course, these are those that have no idea what the commandments say and how, if they are observed, they would impact on the communities, the states, and the world to come.
Everywhere I go I find that people, both leaders and individuals, are asking one basic question; is there any hope for the future? Is there any hope for peace, justice, and prosperity in our generation and the next?
The answer to both questions is a resounding yes!
Those that are against displaying the commandments, and the teachings of these virtues, should step up and point to which of the 10 they object to. Neither generalizing or babbling by irresponsible idiots will serve to save the world! We need leaders with guts and a strict code of conduct for impressionable youngsters.
