Rose L. Giaccone

Rose L. Giaccone, 80, of Fort Myers died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Hope Hospice. She was born Nov. 22, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of Orazio and Mary (Pollaro) Savasta.

A Lee County resident since 1974, she has lived in Fort Myers for the past 6 years, previously she lived in Cape Coral for 32 years. She was employed by Gulf Coast Deli Provisions of Naples for 18 years. Previously she and her husband, Frank, owned the Cater King in Fort Myers for 15 years. She attended Blessed Pope John XXIII Church in Fort Myers and while living in the Cape she attended St. Andrew’s Church.

She was a devoted and loving wife and mother whose life revolved around her children.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank L. Giaccone; her children, Maryann K. Giaccone of Fort Myers and John J. (Sonia) Giaccone of Cape Coral; and her brother, John J. Savasta of Cape Coral.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m., in Blessed Pope John XXIII Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, where the family will receive friends after 1 p.m.
