David Wayne Southwick

David Wayne Southwick, 55, of Cape Coral died Sunday, July 8, 2012. He was born July 26, 1956, in Somerville, N.J., a son of Donald J. and Jane (Brokaw) Southwick.

He moved to Fort Myers in 1965 and then to Cape Coral in 1980 when he and his wife, Jane, were married. He was a marine contractor for 32 years and presently was the owner of A-1 Seawalls Inc. in Cape Coral.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jane (Biebel) Southwick; his children, John D. Southwick, Jenna M. Southwick and Dustin J. Southwick, all of Cape Coral; his granddaughters, Mia and Brook; his father, Donald J. Southwick of Cape Coral; and his brother, Bruce A. (Judi) Southwick of Cape Coral.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Southwick, and his stepmother, Rita M. Southwick.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m., in the former True Value Hardware Store, 1407 Cape Coral Parkway, East, Cape Coral. The family will receive friends following the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the family.
