Walter E. Gibson

Walter E. Gibson, 80, of Cape Cora died May 30, 2012, at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers. He was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Stamford, Conn., son of Edwin and Rhueama Alberta (Beardsley) Gibson.

A resident of Cape Coral for the past 13 years, he retired as a supervisor in construction for Bellsouth Telephone Company. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy L. (Bautz) Gibson; his children, Debbie Gibson, Cathy Pasanello, Scott Gibson, Cindy Mckeehan and Robert Gibson, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Church. 4544 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, FL 33904.
