Janet Clare Wyres

Janet Clare Wyres, 64, of Cape Coral passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, surrounded by her children. She was born Oct. 26, 1946, in South Bend, Ind., to Lester and Gertrude Wilinski Wallace Downing. On Dec. 12, 1987, she married Stephen E. Wyres Sr. She and her husband moved to Florida in 2000, where she will be remembered for her numerous acts of kindness and volunteering her time to many charitable organizations. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising. She was a member of the Southwest Florida Symphony, the Cape Coral Friends of the Library and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Wyres is survived by her loving family, including her son, Stephen (Stefanie) Wyres Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Tiffany Esposito (Todd Stephens) of Newberry, Fla.; and five granddaughters, Caycee, Kyndell, Angella, Sydney and Sophie.

In addition to her parents and sister, Judith A. Snyder, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, on July 19, 2008.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
