Randy Ernest Ruth
Randy Ernest Ruth, 55, of Cape Coral, formerly of Macungie, Pa., died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Allentown, Pa., a child of Ernest and Helen D. (Fink) Ruth.
He graduated from Emmaus High School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1972-89, and was then employed as a patient assistant for the Veteran’s Administration in Allentown for many years.
He also owned and operator R and R Sports & Things in Macungie, Pa., from 1991-2007. After moving to Cape Coral, he and his wife owned R and R Sports & Things at Fleamasters in Fort Myers.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Susan M. (Kern) Ruth; children, Candi (Marcus) Hazel of Clarksville, Tenn., Randy Ernest (Alexis) Ruth Jr. of Fort Moody, Ga., and Christopher Frank (Patricia) Kuller of Macungie, Pa.; six grandchildren; father, Ernest Ruth of Macungie, Pa.; mother, Helen D. (George) Eisenhard of Macungie, Pa.; and sister, Debbie (Dennis) Ritter of Wescoville, Pa.
The family has held a celebration of his life privately.
