Dorothy H. Todd

Dorothy H. Todd, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral. She was born June 12, 1922, in Conestoga, Pa., the daughter of Mary M. and Charles Hess, now deceased.

She lived in Neffsville, Pa., until her retirement from the former Warner Lambert pharmaceutical company in Lititz, Pa., after 22 years. She retired in 1981 and moved to Florida.

She was a member of the James Buchanan Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Lancaster, Pa., for more than 30 years.

She and her husband enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay, traveling in their motor home and cruises.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia A. (Dean) Hartman of Cape Coral and Sharon L. (Bruce) Anderson of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; beloved grandson, Dean Todd Hartman of Cape Coral; and brother, Robert Hess of Lititz, Pa.

Her husband, David, preceded her in death just six weeks ago. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in December.

A celebration of life honoring both lives will be held at a later date in Florida. Final interment will be held in Manheim, Pa., as was their wish.
