Alberta A. Lentz

Alberta A. Lentz, 92, of Cape Coral, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was born May 19, 1916, in Berlinsville, Pa., the daughter of James F. and Emma L. (Stoneburner) Haydt, now deceased.

She was the wife of Palmer O. Lentz, married in 1935, and they owned and operated a restaurant in Slatington, Pa. In 1966, she moved to Cape Coral where she worked at Willy’s Restaurant in Big John’s shopping plaza and Neisner’s Department Store.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. She never missed a chance to help others and showed kindness to all she met.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Palmer; children, Larry (Dolores) Lentz of Walnutport, Pa., Col. Jon (Georgetta) Lentz of Clifton, Va., Lucie (Richard) Fuson and Linda (Jack) Brown of Cape Coral; niece, Kay (John) Yanochko of Fort Myers and Emmaus, Pa.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schisler Funeral Home in Northampton, Pa., followed by internment at Indianland Cemetery. Calling hours are from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
