Mary Jo Shea

Mary Jo Shea, 62, of Cape Coral died suddenly Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers. She was born on Sept. 4, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, a child of Robert Vernon and Dorothy Jane (Garrison) Moff.

She was a 20-year resident of Cape Coral and was employed as a certified nursing assistant for many years then retired from DSI Labs, Fort Myers, and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Fort Myers.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Louis Shea; her daughters, Rebecca Jo (Alan) Getty of Pittsburg, Pa., Julie Regina (Rob) Rentz of Fort Myers and Jodee Rounds of Atlanta; her stepchildren, Michael Shea, Deborah

Ann Shea, Terry Shea, Erin Shea and John Shea; 20 grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Jane Shafer of Fort Myers; and her brothers, Robert Allen Moff of Thomasville, Ill., James Leroy Moff of Snellville, Ga., and Laurence Ray Moff of Raleigh, N.C.

She was the mother Judith Campbell and sister Richard Vernon Moff and Donald Moff, who all preceded her in death.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Cecilia Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial gifts sent to her husband.
