Lillian Allison West

Lillian Allison West, 91, of Cape Coral passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Coral Trace Nursing Home in Cape Coral. She was born in Gallatin, Tenn., a daughter of Olie and Lillian Allison Whiteside. She married John H. West Sr. on Feb. 15, 1936.

Formerly of Nashville, she and her husband moved to Cape Coral in 1962. The two owned and operated Royal Flair Furniture Company in Cape Coral and she was a member of Coral Ridge Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Palmetto Pines Country Club and a charter member of the Hobby Club of Cape Coral.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and a daughter, Barbara Jean West.

Mrs. West is survived by her sons, John H. (Mary) West Jr. of Cape Coral and Ronald L. (Linda) West of Orlando; five grandchildren, Tony Saunders, Teri Hunter, John H. West III, Brandy West and Laura Mills; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held tonight, March 2, from 5-7 p.m., in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Coral Ridge Cemetery.
