Donald Grant Anthony
Donald Grant Anthony, 71, of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, after battling a long illness. He was born Nov. 25, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Stellan and Viola Anthony, now deceased.
He grew up in Skokie, Ill., and was a proud graduate of Northwestern University. After a career in real estate investments, he retired and spent 14 wonderful years with his wife, Judy, in Cape Coral.
He was an inspiration to any who knew him, never letting his physical losses define him. He was courageous with unending strength, at times overcoming long odds. Through it all, he had a warm, unforgettable smile and deep blue eyes that sparkled. His love, and love for life, will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; sons, Thomas (Anne) of Warrington, Pa., and David (Amy) of New York, N.Y.; daughter, Jean Holmes of Cape Coral; sister, Alice (Lee) Sippel of Marian, Calif.; and grandchildren, William, Thomas and Kevin.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fuller Cape Coral Funeral Home-Cremation Service, 3740 Del Prado Blvd. S.
