Arlene Mary Brendel

Arlene Mary Brendel, 70, of Cape Coral, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009. She was born March 22, 1938, in Framingham, Mass., to Nicholas and Mary Palmieri.

She moved to Cape Coral in 1996 from Syracuse, N.Y. She was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church. She also was a member of North Star Grandmothers and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas E. Brendel; daughters, Angela M. VanSanford and Caroline E. Alfonsetti; and grandchildren, Carrie, Tom, Alisa, Richard and Nicholas.

She is predeceased by her sons, Anthony Edward and Bernard Daniel.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Andrew Catholic Church with entombment at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
