Jack E. Waldier Jr.

Jack E. Waldier Jr., 82, of Cape Coral, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Hospice North in Cape Coral. He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Chicago, a son of Jack and Edith Norton Waldier Sr., now deceased.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army/Air Corps during World War II.

He was a 24-year member of the Harney Point Kiwanis Club. He was a card player, fisherman and golfer. He had resided here since 1985 coming from Des Plaines, Ill.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Waldier; son, Allen (Deborah) Waldier; six grandchildren, Dawn-Elaine Nazet, Victoria Lynn Richardson, Jack Waldier, Eric Waldier, Karol Waldier and Alexander Waldier; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Nazet, “R.J.” Richardson, Mary Richardson and Anthony Richardson; brother, Hugh Waldler; and nieces and nephews.

He will now join his beloved wife, Betty Jean, in their heavenly home.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday.

Military honors will be provided by the Honor Guard of the VFW Post 8463 of Cape Coral.
