Helen O. Flowers
Helen O. Flowers, 85, of Cape Coral died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, W.Va. She was born Jan. 29, 1923, in South Plainfield, N.J., a daughter of Charles and Olga Schlactun Ostapovich, now deceased. On Oct. 25, 1946, she married Edward Flowers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one son, Edward J. (Diana) Flowers of South Plainfield; one daughter, Linda S. Conrad of Bridgeport, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Maureen M. Beebe of South Plainfield and Angie L. (Edward) Ables of Weston, W.Va.; one grandson, Jason E. Conrad of Madison, W.Va.; one great-grandson, Sean Young of South Plainfield; one great-granddaughter, Anya D. Ables of Weston; one sister, Claudia Harrison of South Plainfield; one brother, Walter Ostapovich of South Plainfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Flowers was a payroll clerk for Union Carbide. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Cape Coral and a member of the church Widows Club.
