Christa Klemann

Christa Klemann died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Cape Coral. She was born in Breslau, where she grew up and attended school.

She experienced much suffering during World War II and spent the last two years of 1944 to 1945 in a concentration camp. After the war she lived in Munich, Germany, and immigrated in 1951 to Denver, Colo.

She married Ernst Klemann in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1976. After the death of her husband, she studied and graduated as a nurse. She became a visiting nurse in Lee County until her retirement in 1996. She spent the last years of her life at the Pondella Serenity Court.

Surviving her are her relatives, Christian Goerg v. Woyrsch, Rochus v. Woyrsch and Edgar v. Woyrsch, all of Germany, and Tatjana E. Lee of California; and close friends, Henry and Conny Dietz of Cape Coral.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, 2991 Del Prado Blvd.
