Harlan F. Spiller Sr.
Harlan F. Spiller Sr., 84, of Cape Coral and formerly of Naples, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008. He was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Lewiston, Maine, a son of Murray L. and Orissa Goodwin Spiller, now deceased.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a pilot instructor and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was the founder of the Harlon Spiller Co. in Naples and retired in 1974. He was a former Rotarian.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and a daughter, Donna Walker.
He is survived by his son, Harlan (Mary) Spiller Jr. of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Rodney and Harlan Spiller III and Jennifer and Kimberly Walker; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday. Interment will follow in Naples Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Naples.
