Richard J. Miller

Richard J. Miller, 78, of Cape Coral, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born in 1930, in Anderson, Ind., to the late Walter and Noline Miller.

He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

His love of jazz music led him to spend five years in radio in Oxford, Ohio. He also worked many years in sales for Durham Plastics in Ohio.

He moved to Lee County in 1990 from Lebanon, Ohio. He worked for the city of Cape Coral at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.

Survivors include his children, Nancy J. Andrews of Lebanon, Ohio, Rebecca Dunn of Dayton, Ohio, and Patrick W. Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Robert Miller of Dayton, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Ball Room. Cremation arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Homes and Crematory.
