Andrew L. Orifice

Andrew L. Orifice, 84, of Cape Coral passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008. He was born April 24, 1924, a son of Antonio and Philamenia Gambardella, now deceased. He was a retired police officer for the New Haven, Conn., Police Department. After moving from Connecticut, he was employed by the Florida State Department of Motor Vehicles as an inspector.

He was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral.

He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis (Keith) Moore; his sons, Michael Orifice and Robert (Ruth) Orifice; a brother, Anthony Orifice; and a brother-in-law, John Cerne.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 21, from 5-7 p.m., in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 22, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Coral Ridge Cemetery.
