Carrie ‘Gracie’ Swayne

Carrie “Gracie” Swayne, 89, of North Fort Myers, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008. She was born Nov. 9, 1918, in North Bergen, N.J., a daughter of the late William and Sadie Bush Scott.

She was retired from the retail jewelry industry. She had a deep love for life, was a very positive lady and loved her family and friends. Her next love was for Bingo, and she loved to go to the track and play the one-armed bandits.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were six sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her devoted husband, George Swayne III; loving children, John (Linda) Horsman and Carol (Charles) Palmerin; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road. The family will be present to receive friends from 10 a.m. Friday until time of service.
