Phyllis Rae Flanders
Phyllis Rae Flanders, age 72, of Fort Myers died May 28, 2008 at Healthsouth Ridgelake Hospital, Sarasota, Fla. She was born Aug. 29, 1935 in Parsons, W.Va., the youngest of seven children of Dayton and Carolyn (Lipscomb) Nazelrod.
She moved from Smithsburg, Md. to North Fort Myers in 1981. She was the former vice president of Bonair Towers. She worked in the accounting office of the Herald-Mail in Hagerstown, Md. for many years.
She and her late husband, Carlton, who died in 2002, were the owners of Days Corporation; they made custom drapes. She also worked for H & R Block and in retail sales at Sears in the Edison Mall. Phyllis volunteered for Dr. Ella Piper Center for Social Services, Inc. as a senior companion volunteer.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara S. Moats of Smithsburg, Md. and Diane R. Rickett of Cape Coral, and her granddaughter, Jodi A. Lockhart of Shippensburg, Pa.
