Harriette Gardner 

Harriette Gardner, 89, of Cape Coral, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born April 7, 1919, in Armenia, a child of John and Rose (Hagopian) Jonikian.

She was employed as a secretary in the manufacturing field and has lived in Cape Coral for the past two years. She had previously lived in Arcadia, Fla., for 17 years after moving from Detroit.

She was the wife of the late Robert Gardner, who died in 1985, and is survived by her children, Judith L. (Kenneth) Abler of Cape Coral and Thomas C. (Gayle) Gardner of Cape Coral; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Gretta Harrison of Cape Coral.

Funeral services will be private for the family in Michigan.
